About JID Investments

With over 20 years of real estate investment experience and 13 years as a business owner, John's focus spans syndication, private equity, and passive real estate investment. Over his tenure, John has raised over $45M across a 30+ project portfolio, delivering consistent returns for himself and more than 200 investors. He has also been a guest on over 60 financial and real estate investment podcasts.

John is a graduate of New York Maritime College with a degree in Business Administration and holds a 3rd Mate's License in the U.S. Merchant Marine. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a U.S. Naval Officer and served honorably as a Naval Aviator for 20 years. He earned his Master of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2008.

David oversees all financial matters and investor relations for JIDI — including financial statements, investor reporting, tax documents, private placement memoranda, due diligence, and securing investment capital. He earned a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from SUNY Buffalo, and began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. before founding David H. Shatz & Associates Inc., a public accounting firm he operated for over 30 years.

Throughout his career David has consulted extensively on personal finance, taxation, entrepreneurship, and real estate development, and holds a real estate brokerage license. He has served as a guest speaker on business, real estate, and tax topics, and has been active on civic, business, and religious boards.
